Photo Contest - Reflections

Hi! I would like to apologize for prolonging the Easter holiday with my background. Hee! Hee! I will try to change it when I have time. (My child might be 16 by then). This is gonna be a quickie to post these pics for a photo contest on Iheartfaces.com. This week's theme is reflections. The first one is my entry for the kid category. It was an accidental photo of Bryce's reflection, while he was playing with my vanity mirror. I just wanted a pic of him playing with it for my scrapbook. I didn't even notice his reflection until I downloaded it. His eye contact makes it more interesting to me. I think that he thought that he was kissing another baby! lol The second one is my adult entry. I hated my reflection in his glasses. It is so distracting to me! I never thought that it might enter it in a contest. He was 4 months old at the time! We were about to go for a stroll in the neighborhood with our little Emma (his girlfriend). Hi All! We are back from "deep in the heart of Texas". We had a great time with family and I got a few pics to share (when I can get some time to post them!) This pic is of Bryce playing in the suitcase while I was trying to unpack. He was so smiley when we got home! I have some funny ones of him playing that I hope to share too. Well, it is good to be back! I will chat with ya'll more later. Gotta run get some stuff done, cause our little dude is napping. When he is awake, he is into EVERYTHING! Meeting The Easter Bunny

 
This is Bryce meeting a bunny for the first time. This 8-week-old bunny (named "cow-cow") is my niece's new pet. Bryce did not know what to think of that WIGGLY nose. I love it! Another one from Granny's farm. Bryce was "peeping" through the fence that we used to paint each summer. The nasty mold from winter makes a pretty pic and contrast (in my humble, but accurate opinion :) Please feel free to click on the pic, if you want to see it bigger and view the grody mold up close. Hee! Hee! Don't you just love that nature does that? Bryce and I just wanted to say, "Happy Easter to all of our "Peeps"! (Just know that we are always this corny at our house) Sorry! lol Seriously. Enjoy your family as we celebrate all that His wonderful gift and sacrifice is to us everyday and not just at this one time of year. Easter Eggs and Our Little Man

 

This is another pic from the other day at my Granny's farm. It is probably one of my favs. He is just thinking and playing. I love to watch him. I have had probably one of the worst days of my life. Sorry to whine! My husband has been so sweet and supportive today. I have cried about half of the day! I thought that it would get better, but it just kept piling in. The devil is such a joy-stealer sometimes. He is such a little liar and a wimp! I posted this pic of my little joy-maker and wanted to show what makes me smile. He is so forgiving and loving, no matter how "beat up " I get in a day! I love you Bryce! Sorry for the pity post!

This one is my entry for the adult "My friend and I" photo contest. I love the expression on my husband's face. He is NOT an emotional person. He is very sensitive and caring though. It doesn't often show on his face ( a wonderful residual affect from the marine corp.) He calls our son his "Little Buddy". They are friends with a unique relationship that I don't even understand. Photo Contest

 

Here is an entry for this week's photo contest. The theme is "My friend and I". We rushed to grab the camera for this one. It could have been better focused, but were thankful to have caught "the moment" at all. This is Emma and Bryce's first kiss. They are the best of buds. He will NOT let any other little girls kiss or hug him. I'm sure you can see why. She is a living doll! Emma is also a neighbor and her parents are great friends of ours, so it works out perfect for them to play together. They share well and get excited when they see each other. Bryce is now over 1 year old and Emma is fast approaching 2 years old. She says his name over and over on her car rides home from her daycare. How sweet! She calls to him if they walk past our house. He just kicks his legs and squeals when he sees her. Their relationship is so pure. We could all use a friend that wants to see us each day that much! We Love You Emma Kate! This past Saturday was gorgeous weather! We went to my grandparents farm. They are both no longer living. I like going there. I have some great memories of playing with my cousins, family dinners on holidays, chasing the cows, playing hide- and-seek in the corn, softball games in the cow pasture, and throwing hay down from the loft, just to name a few. I can't seem to steal away enough time for blogging these days. I want to make some time to read what everybody is doing and catch up. For now, this is one of my favorites. I WILL post more later. Maybe during naptime (if you know what I mean). But for now, this is it, later.......I hope
